Water Quality & Supply

Utility Solutions owns and operates two central water systems. The Elk Grove water system supplies drinking water to the Elk Grove Subdivision. The Elk Grove water system has three groundwater supply wells in the Elk Grove Subdivision. The Northstar-Zoot water system supplies drinking water the Four Corners County Water and Sewer District. The Northstar-Zoot water system has three active groundwater supply wells in the Northstar Subdivision and three active groundwater supply wells in the Galactic Park Subdivision. There are two additional approved well sites in Northstar Subdivision for future expansion of the Northstar-Zoot water system. The wells for both water systems produce water from the Quaternary alluvial aquifer in Upper Missouri River Basin Closure area.

Both the Elk Grove water system and the Northstar-Zoot water system are chlorinated for residual treatment as required by Montana Department of Environmental Quality. Utility Solutions continuously monitors chlorine concentration to ensure minimum requirements are met. Utility Solutions tests each water system monthly at multiple service locations for microbial contaminants such as viruses and bacteria, inorganic contaminants such as metals, nitrate, and fluoride, and disinfection by-products. Utility Solutions drinking water meets or exceeds all state and federal regulations.
